I’m with Jennifer, I’d love to pick up some of his books, now that I understand a little bit about his writing process. Tod seems like such a down-to-earth, humble guy. Although, I did note that he teaches at UC’s Palm Desert campus–that sounds like a nice writing life to me!

Being a dog groomer has appealed to me, too, on my very worst days.
And also what resonates here is that people think that being a writer is so glamorous and easy.

Tod said, “I need to find that point of quiet in my head where the story demands to be told.”
I love this.
There is something equally peaceful and exhilarating about this place that he’s talking about. It also feels so natural when I’m finally there.

So far this has been my favorite of your interviews. I can’t even write all of the different parts that I loved reading and learning. I suppose what was most interesting to me was the difference between writing and being crazy. But all of it was just sooooo cool. Thanks for another great post.
